TIGHT ARSE TUESDAY'S - THE REASON THERE'S A DAY BETWEEN MONDAY AND WEDNESDAY…
We realise that being in Scotland's capital can be a drain on anyone's pocket, so we've bitten the bullet and introduced our lowest EVER prices EVERY Tuesday night. There's a selection of pints for £1.50, and a whole bunch of spirits - including Jack Daniels - for a quid!!! (and no, we're not like some of the other stingy so-and-so's around here that charge you an extra £1 for a dash with your favourite tipple - on Tuesday's it's a pound for a vodka & coke, a pound for a Jack & coke, etc, etc…

Tuesdays are a real double whammy right now, 'cos as well as these flippin' fab drinks deals, you've got two of our finest musicians, Acoustic David and Jamie playing from 11pm, with lucky dips, mystery prizes (ok, they're not all great - some might include becoming intimate with a variety of fishy friends - but there are some fantastic giveaways in there too…!)


WANNA BE IN WITH THE 'IN' CROWD…?
Since we kitted out our guys and girls with their new uniforms, it seems loads of you want to look the part too, so we're starting to sell a range of these luverly garments, along with hats (a complete waste of time, because as we all know, it NEVER rains in Edinburgh - could always use it for keeping you from getting sunstroke, a distinct possibility here…!), various tops and T-shirts, all at mucho reasonable prices (much cheapness, very very cheap…)


TIMES, THEY ARE A-CHANGIN'…
Time - and Scotrail - wait for no man, and we've had a few of our family here ('cos that's what we are, you know!) have left for pastures new, however fear not - we have a whole host of wonderful new peeps and peeplettes to cater for your - almost - every need! Some of the recent comings and goings include:

CHLOE has decided that there IS life beyond these walls, and has returned Leicester-way to pursue her career as an internationally renowned biochemist (though on the plus side, it gives our stocks of shortbread a chance to recover…!)

AMY has decided to take a sabbatical down under (now, then, stop that…)
for a few months, where she is - apparently - having to 'suffer' temperatures in the mid 30's - we fear she may need trauma counselling on her return!

BASIAAAAAAAAAAAAA has returned to Poland, and is currently building a successful career as a landscape gardener (I'm going to resist the line about everything coming up roses…!)

KIRSTY, KERRY, PAM, ALEXA, HANNAH, JULITA and JUSTYNA have joined this happy band of brothers (and sisters), alongside seasoned pro's DOUG, ANDREW, KEIRAN and RICHARD. Watch these pages, and if we can persuade everyone to stand still long enough, we might get a few mugshots on here soon…!

'MOST HAUNTED - LIVE!' RUN FOR THE HILLS!!
As Scotland's most haunted hostelry, it was only a matter of time before the pro's wanted to come along and check us out, so at Halloween the guys and girls from TV's 'most haunted - live!' turned up to explore our vaults and caverns, and boy, did they get more than they bargained for!

As the show beamed out live across the UK, Europe and the USA, it became apparent early on that this was going to be a bit out of the ordinary, with something - no-one seems to know what - attacking a couple of the cameramen, leaving them cut, bruised and more than a little scared, but in the end the presenters and crew (some of whom flatly REFUSED to go back into one of our vaults) confirmed what we already knew - there's definitely something roaming around within these walls…

Since by their own admission this was the best and most successful location they've ever come across, they may well be back - spirits willing…!

STUDENTS - WE BLOODY LOVE 'EM!!!

Well, if it's good enough for the two Ronnies it's good enough for us…
The water leak that's been drip-drip-drippin' away for the last year or so has finally been sorted (allegedly - manager's disclaimer!) so we're going to be starting on the refurbishment soon, but please bear with us, and at the end of it we'll be throwing a super-duper bash to christen the place. More details as we get them.
